AmeriCorps Volunteer Benefits

Service Term Lengths & Benefits

    Quarter-Time

    Receive a living stipend of $5,400 (distributed bi-weekly) and information about supplemental resources. 

    Earn a Segal Education Award of $1,956 upon completion of your service term, which can be used to help pay for college, graduate school, or vocational training, or to repay qualified student loans. Some student loans may also qualify for forbearance during the term of service.

    Note: the quarter-time service term is 450 hours served over a 4-month period of time.

    Half-Time

    Receive a living stipend of $10,800 (distributed bi-weekly) and information about supplemental resources. 

    Earn a Segal Education Award of $3,697.50 upon completion of your service term, which can be used to help pay for college, graduate school, or vocational training, or to repay qualified student loans. Some student loans may also qualify for forbearance during the term of service. 

    Note: the half-time service term is 900 hours served over a 8-month period of time.

    Three-Quarter Time

    Receive a living stipend of $14,400 (distributed bi-weekly), and information about supplemental resources.

    Earn a Segal Education Award of $5,176.50 upon completion of your service term, which can be used to help pay for college, graduate school, or vocational training, or to repay qualified student loans. Some student loans may also qualify for forbearance during the term of service.

    Note: the three-quarter-time service term is 1200 hours served over a 10-month period of time.

    Full-Time

    Receive a living stipend of $20,400 (distributed bi-weekly), and information about supplemental resources.

    Earn a Segal Education Award of $7,395 upon completion of your service term, which can be used to help pay for college, graduate school, or vocational training, or to repay qualified student loans. Some student loans may also qualify for forbearance during the term of service.

    Note: the full-time service term is 1700 hours served over a 12-month period of time.
