AmeriCorps READY is a joint research effort between Wayne State University Center for Urban Studies and AmeriCorps. Its primary goals are to: conduct research and demonstrate healthy home upgrades to Detroit residents and provide green workforce training for youth.

The Center for Urban Studies operates two other AmeriCorps programs : ACT and the Urban Safety Program
